Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I have appointed Father Kirby Hlavaty, pastor of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ganado, to become the new rector of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory, Victoria effective May 3, 2021. In addition, I am appointing him to be the Executive Director of the Emmaus Center.
He and Bishop-Elect Gary Janak are making announcements at their parishes this weekend. Please, let us keep the parishioners of both parishes in our prayers as they go through times of transition.
Thank you, Father Kirby, for being open to these new assignments. We pray God’s blessings upon you.
